Meskerem is officially our girl!!!

I am so excited to report that our case successfully made it through the Ethiopian Courts today and Meskerem is legally our daughter! The adoption is final in Ethiopia. What does this mean? It means we can travel to bring her home! We received our travel date today of Friday February 6th and will be in country for one week. There is SO much to do it is unbelievable. Booking flights, paperwork, getting the 2 kids who are staying home settled and organized and just getting all of our stuff together. We are really hoping that Anthony will be able to travel with us, he REALLY wants to come. I don't know if anyone even checks this blog anymore since I rarely update it. So if you are reading this let me know!
As usual we will try to keep you posted!
A very happy and at the moment overwhelmed.

Congratulations!!! I love that version of the song on your blog -- I'm going to find it. Thanks so much for taking the album to Ethiopia. I'll sent it to you next week.

Laura,

I think it's the first time I've seen a picture of Meskerem... she is gorgeous! Now that I am in the #1 position, I wanted to ask you... how did you ever make it? How long were you in that position? The phone ringing is so exciting/heartbreaking ... it's ridiculous!

Happy Travels!

Thanks for your honest feedback, Laura! I guess I need to prepare myself for a long wait. If it comes early, it will be great, if not, I'm prepared. I absolutely love your Meskerem! She is adorable. Since we have no other children and can't afford to do this twice, we'll stick it out for siblings.

Thanks for your predictions :) For you to be entered for the *prize* (?), you still have to guess a referral date and name a prize for the winner.

I'm sure I'll be writing you again!

Thanks,

Evelyn
